Years of development combined with our passion for merino has led up to launch of the perfect blended soft merino outdoor styles - our Superino™ patented merino base layer system.
The Superino is a series with blend of premium 81% mulesing-free merino wool main fabric and 14% recycled nylon / 5% opelon for softening and4-way stretch.
We have added the nylon and spandex for extended lifetime and durability.

Opelon is a softening strechy fabric that makes the 4-way stretch that you feel in the Superino™ series. However, Opelon has untl recently been avoided by us, due to its poor ability to be recycled. However, with our new partnership with the Danish textile sorting facility New Retex it is now possible and we feel comfortable to use Opelon again, because we now have control over the recycling of the material.
The recycled nylon and the z-twisting of the Superino fabric makes the yarns more than 12 times stronger than 100% merino wool. This means that you will use the product longer than normally.
Well, take a look at our name and combine it with merino and whoops, there you have it.
Only your own limits sets the bar. Use it for alpine skiing, for running, hiking, everyday comfort or mountaineering and bouldering. The many technical features of Superino™ makes this yarn suitable for all outdoor activities.
Long live longevity
Tips & care
Don’t wash your Superino™ product after every use. Just leave it to dry on a hanger and you will be good to go. You should only wash now and then or after heavy use.
But when you do:
• Turn your product inside out.
• Wash at low temperatures: max 20-30⁰
• Use mild detergent without enzymes and chemicals.
• Don’t use fabric softener.
• Choose a low spin.
• Do NOT tumble dry. It can cause holes. Leave it to dry on a flat surface.
We recommend machine washing, because it is easier to ensure a gentle wash and control the temperature.
But if you choose to wash it by hand, do not rub or stretch the fabric and use cold water.
