History

Recycled Polyester

Polyester is synthetic fibres from the polymerization process. Polyester is not typically a sustainable product, but recycled polyester is. Unlike polyester, recycled polyester uses PET raw material from post consumer waste to make the yarn. This is the same material that is used in making plastic bottles.

How it’s done in 5 steps

  1. The collected post consumer waste gets sterilized and crushed into flakes.
  2. These flakes gets heated and passed through a spinneret to form strings of yarn.
  3. The yarn is wound up in spools.
  4. Now the fibre gets through a crimping machine.
  5. At last, the yarn is then dyed and knitted into the polyester fabric.

All the way from our cap specialists in China to Denmark. Here is the journey of the camo cap.
